Support for Internet
Explorer 7 for Windows XP SP2 On
October 18, 2006, Microsoft announced the availability of Internet
Explorer 7 for Windows XP SP2. SumTotal customers should not
upgrade their browser to Internet Explorer 7 until advised by
SumTotal that interoperability testing of Internet Explorer 7 with
our applications has been completed.
Microsoft has announced that beginning in November they will also
begin rolling out Internet Explorer 7 as part of its Windows
Automatic Updates service. During the Automatic Update process,
Internet Explorer 7 will not be installed without your consent. We
recommend that you inform your SumTotal users not to consent to the
Internet Explorer 7 download until such time we have communicated
our interoperability with this new version. SumTotal intends to
conduct interoperability testing for Pathlore 6.6 and
OnTrack Online 2.1.2.
In the event your users do upgrade to Internet Explorer 7, Microsoft
has communicated that your users will be able to roll back to
Internet Explorer 6 by removing Internet Explorer 7 through the
Windows Control Panel Add/Remove Programs utility. Please contact
your internal IT department for more information on how to roll back
to Internet Explorer 6 should this become necessary.
