Privacy Statement

Pathlore Software Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Pathlore") has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to securing your privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for all Pathlore public websites. Pathlore's websites are based in the United States.

INFORMATION COLLECTED AND STORED AUTOMATICALLY
When you browse, read pages or download information on Pathlore's websites, we automatically gather and store certain technical information about your visit. This information never identifies who you are. The information we collect and store about your visit is listed below:
  • The Internet domain (for example, "xcompany.com" if you use a private Internet access account, or "yourschool.edu" if you connect from a university's domain) and IP address (an IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you are surfing the Web) from which you access our website;

This information is only used to help us make the site more useful for you. With this data we learn about the number of visitors to our site and the types of technology our visitors use. We never track or record information about individuals and their visits.

COOKIES
At Pathlore websites, we may use both non-persistent cookies or "per-session cookies" and "persistent cookies." "Per-session" cookies do not collect personal information on users and they are erased as soon as you leave our website. "Persistent cookies" are used to maintain state information for access to Pathlore LMS clients and are automatically erased after eight hours.

Per-session cookies serve technical purposes like providing seamless navigation through Pathlore's websites. These cookies do not permanently record data and they are not stored on your computer's hard drive. Persistent cookies are stored on your hard drive, but do not collect any personal information.

PERSONAL INFORMATION
If you choose to provide us with personal information — like filling out a Contact Us form with personal information and submitting it to us through the website — we use that information to respond to your message and to help us get you the information you have requested. We never create individual profiles or give it to any other organizations. You will also have the option to "opt-in" to receiving Pathlore marketing communications, such as e-newsletters, direct mail, etc. You may fill out a request to join our email list, or check a box on our Online Inquiry Form. If you are currently receiving Pathlore communications and would like to be removed from our distribution list, you may "opt-out" by sending us an email at marketing@pathlore.com with "Remove" in the subject line.

EUROPEAN UNION SAFE HARBOR PRIVACY PRINCIPLES

Pathlore adheres to the European Union Safe Harbor Privacy Principles issued by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use and retention of personal information from the European Union.  If you are an employee of one of our customers in the European Union, this section of our Privacy Statement describes what information about you we may collect or have access to and how we use it.

In connection with providing its products or services to its customers, Pathlore may have access to certain information regarding its customer's employees. This information may include:

  • Evaluation of qualifications for employment

  • Provision of employment benefits

  • Administration and management of training

  • Assessment of individual skills

  • Communication with employees and/or their emergency contacts in case of unusual circumstances

  • Administration of company business including budgeting, manpower planning, and organizational design

  • Authentication of identity when gaining access to the computer software application

A number of user communities are served through Pathlore’s websites. Relevant customer and shipping information is collected in order to respond to orders for products or services via the website. Generally, Pathlore only asks for the minimally required personal data to complete the transaction.

Pathlore uses this information only to render services to its respective customers and for purposes compatible with which it was originally collected or subsequently authorized by the affected individual.  We have implemented measures designed to ensure the security and confidentiality of your personal information. Pathlore does not disclose the information to third parties except as required by law or legal process.

CHILDREN'S GUIDELINES
Pathlore does NOT intentionally collect online contact information from children. Pathlore does NOT collect personally identifiable offline contact information from children.

PUBLIC FORUMS
Pathlore websites may make use of chat rooms, forums, message boards, and/or news groups available to its users. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information.

SITE SECURITY

  • For site security purposes and to ensure that this service remains available to all users, our computer system employs commercial software programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage.

  • Except for authorized law enforcement investigations, no other attempts are made to identify individual users or their usage habits. Raw data logs are used for no other purposes and are scheduled for regular destruction.

  • Unauthorized attempts to upload information or change information on this service are strictly prohibited and may be punishable under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act of 1986 and the National Information Infrastructure Protection Act.

The information posted on Pathlore websites includes hypertext links or pointers to information created and maintained by other public and/or private organizations. Pathlore provides these links and pointers solely for our users' information and convenience. When users select a link to an outside website, they are leaving Pathlore sites and are subject to the privacy and security policies of the owners/sponsors of the outside website.
  • Pathlore does not control or guarantee the accuracy, relevance, timeliness or completeness of information contained on a linked website.
